Reconciliation
Reconciliation (confession or reconciliation) is where the priest, as the agent of God, forgives sins committed after Baptism, when the sinner is heartily sorry for them, sincerely confesses them, and is willing to make satisfaction for them. We say that we are sorry for our sins. We celebrate God’s forgiveness.
Children entering the 2nd Grade are eligible to prepare for the sacrament of reconciliation and should precede the reception of the First Communion. Older children, youth, and adults, who have never received the Sacrament of Reconciliation, are directed to the RCIA process.
During this time, our scheduled Reconciliation will be on Saturdays 9:00-9:30 am at St. Luke Church and 4:00 pm at St. Bernardine Church, or by appointment. To schedule an appointment, call the Rectory office at 708-435-8912.
