Eucharist
Eucharist is where Jesus Christ shares himself with us. We receive the Body and Blood of Christ. Holy Eucharist is both a sacrifice and a sacrament. As a sacrifice the Holy Eucharist is the Mass. The act by which we receive the Holy Eucharist is called Holy Communion.
Children entering the 2nd Grade are eligible to prepare for this sacrament through our Religious Education classes that begin each fall, but they must have two full years of preparation in a Catholic school or the parish Religious Education Program. First Communion for students is usually in May.
Older children, youth, and adults, who have never received the Sacrament of Eucharist, are directed to the RCIA process. Call the Religious Education Office at 708-435-8960.
