Baptism
Baptism welcomes a person into the Church. The sacrament of Baptism is the beginning of life—supernatural life. At Baptism, Catholics become children of God. The water of Baptism washes away all sin and fills you with God’s grace.
Infants and young children are typically baptized at a Sunday Mass while older children and adult baptisms are celebrated at the Easter Vigil Mass. Older children and adults who wish to be baptized, will be prepared for Baptism through the RCIA process.
Baptisms are held on the second Sunday of each month (except during Lent), during the 10:30 Mass. You must register for Baptism at the Rectory office. There is a mandatory meeting for parents and godparents that is held the first Wednesday of the month, at 7:30 pm, in the Convent Dining Room. Please make arrangements with the parish office at 708-435-8912 to register for the next meeting.
