Religious Education

The RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is a process designed for adults who are coming to the Catholic faith from another faith tradition, have been baptized in the Catholic faith, but have not received any other Sacraments, or have not been baptized in any particular faith tradition. The RCIA process allows you to journey through the full liturgical year and the timeline can vary from person to person as to the readiness of reception of the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist) at the Easter Vigil.
While RCIA is intended for those who are discerning becoming full members of the Catholic Church, it offers a great faith formation opportunity for ALL adults. Topics covered include all aspects of the Catholic Faith; from the how and why of what we do to how we live out our faith in every aspect of life. For those who grew up in the Catholic Church and are far-removed from their CCD/Religious Education/Faith Formation days, RCIA offers a great brush-up.
For the third consecutive year, St. Bernardine will host RCIA in conjunction with St. Luke parish.
Contact Father Stan, 1-708-366-0839 if you would like to participate in the program or sponsor a candidate.
